PAA - Public Artistic Affairs

PAA ist das künstlerische Sprachrohr Tomi Paasonens mit Hauptsitz in Berlin. PAA experimentiert mit Choreographie, Körperkunst, theatralischen und neuen technologischen Elementen und kreiert Stücke für die Bühne, Ausstellungen und Kurzfilme, die eine vielschichtige Auseinandersetzung mit dem jeweiligen Thema zum Ausdruck bringen. Die Zusammenarbeit zwischen professionellen Künstlern aus verschiedenen Bereichen, Wissenschaftlern und Laiendarstellern mit sozialen wirklichkeitsbezogenen Hintergründen sind Voraussetzungen für Arbeit, die surreales Leben mit hyperrealem Tanztheater verbindet.

PAA ist keine feste Gruppe sondern formiert und richtet sich immer neu den thematischen Bedürfnissen nach. Jedes Stück sucht nach individueller Authensität durch Devise-Methoden in der jeder einzelner Mitwirkender aufgefordert wird mitverantwortlich eigene Erfahrungen, Ideen und Elemente ins Stück mitzubringen, die die Bühne zum Spielraum macht, in dem verschiedene Sichtpunkte zum Dialog finden. Auch bekennen wir uns zum einen multimedialen Tanztheater des weitergeführten Prozesses, dass innerhalb einen Rahmen des strukturellen Formalismus, stets wach weiterentwickelt wird, um bei jeder Vorstellung eine lebendig suchende Ausdruck von zeitgenössische Kunst zu sein.

PAA is Tomi Paasonen’s realm of artistic outlet based in Berlin. Through diverse artistic mediums he aims to confuse the periphery with the centre and embody mainstream alternatively. PAA - Public Artistic Affairs creates performances and installations using dance, body art, light, video, audio, photography and fine arts to create a multi facetted explorations of each theme it approaches. Collaborations between artists of different genres, scientists and personalities off of the street are ingredients that connect surreality with reality, theatre with life and art with documentary.

PAA forms itself anew depending on the thematic needs of a production. Every piece seeks individual authenticity through device-methods, in which each participant is asked to contribute their own experiences, ideas and elements to the piece, making the stage into a playing field where different points of view come into dialogue. We are committed to a multimedia physical theatre of continuous process, which is constantly developed within the framework of structural formalism, in order for each performance to be a living exploration of contemporary art.
